This is my very first play with the 580EX II that arrived yesterday. I think Jasper went blind by then end of it. I think he will be glad when mum is home from holidays.

Here is a quick snap I took with the 10-22mm and ND 4 Filter one the way to dropping Juan home last night. Note the fly fisherman (I don’t think he was catching much).
White Chocolate and Summer Berry Cake
3 cups of Plain Flour
1 ½ cups of White Sugar
2 tsp Baking Soda
1tsp Vanilla Essence
1 egg
1 ¼ cups of Milk
75g of Unsalted Butter
150g White Chocolate (chopped coarsely)
200g Berries
> Pre-heat oven to approx 160-170 degrees Celsius

HDR Photo Test with Canon 40D
Here is a HDR test of T42 with the 40D. The boats etc came out well - they sky didn’t however. but I have recently purchased a remote switch to fix this problem.

New Canon EF 50mm f1.4 Lens
Got my new Canon 50mm f1.4 lens yesterday. Only 4 days shipping from Hong Kong. I was quite impressed.
Did a couple of tests with it but our room is really yellow - tungsten lights, yellow light shades and yellow walls. It was really hard to colour correct. Anyway here are the results:
